Note: Mother of Pearl is made from the lining of oyster shells. It is shaped, dyed and coated with natural pearl nacre. The developmental process is different than of sea and freshwater pearls. A pearl made this way may not be considered "real". Mother of Pearl is more durable than a freshwater pearl and will keep their color and shine.
